It’s no coincidence that the area is nicknamed ‘Weißes Dachl’ – guaranteed snow is a given here. The new Hoadlbahn cable car takes you directly from the car park up to the Hoadl-Haus at 2,340 m in just 6 minutes, meaning winter sports enthusiasts – together with the Olympic funicular – can get from the very bottom to the very top quickly and easily, something few ski resorts offer. Axamer Lizum isn’t just for freeride pros: beginners and skiers of all other levels will find ideal slopes, safe practice areas and varied runs here.
You’ll be staying at the Holiday Inn Innsbruck. Right outside this stylish 4-star hotel in the east of Innsbruck, the ski bus will take you to the nearby Axamer Lizum ski resort. During the day, you’ll let off steam on the slopes; in the evening, there are two options: relaxation in the new wellness area or a party atmosphere in Innsbruck’s beautiful city centre with its bars and clubs. After a hearty breakfast buffet, you’ll head back out onto the slopes the next morning, refreshed and ready to go.
